From floral prints to sky-high stilettos, Hollywood's favorite stars represented walked the People's Choice 2009 red carpet in some of fashion's best new looks.

Forty-four-year-old Marisa Tomei looks better than girls half her age in this knee-length Donna Karan dress. The best part of this dress are the soft gathers (Donna K. is famous for making women's bodies look amazing.) More to love: the face-framing teardrop necklace -- which is rimmed in gold -- is glam without looking stuffy.

Paris Hilton has cornered the market on sugary sweet dresses, like this Jenny Packham confection. While it's a cute look, Paris might want to venture into more grown-up style territory for the red carpet (would it kill her to try something sleek and sophisticated?)

Here's a dress that probably looks better close-up than on the red carpet, thanks to a metallic finish and print (both muddy up the photograph). But the photographed effect reads looks more like draperies than a designer gown. Change clothes Carrie!

Christina Applegate looked gorgeous in this Old Hollywood gown because she updated the look with a modern hairdo. The Art Deco embellishment on this dress is really stunning and sets it apart from the pack.

Even though she's been hiding out at her ranch in Texas more than hitting the red carpet lately, Jewel manages to keep her boho vibe going in a floral slip dress and long, loose locks.

We've seen Teri Hatcher in so many same-old Badgley Mischka gowns in the past, that this vintage Givenchy Haute Couture little black dress is a huge surprise. And the details are great: check out the bow at the hem and the sexy chic winklepicker pumps.
